Welcome to Christian Science Nurses’ Training in Brazil

  1. - To establish a Christian Science Nurses’ Training Program in Brazil with a full   spectrum of training courses (a series of 3 courses)

  2. - To encourage Christian Scientists in Brazil to become Journal Listed Christian Science Nurses.

  3. - To set up a support structure such as the Brazilian field will be able to continue this program themselves in an independent manner. This should take 3 to 4 years.

The goals of the project are as follows:

In fall of 2008 the “Associação Arco Iris”, a Christian Science nursing association in Brazil, contacted Le Verger about Christian Science nurses’ training as it has a Brazilian Christian Science nurse and instructor working at its facility. Le Verger already offers Christian Science nurses’ training in French, German and English.

They were interested in knowing if Le Verger would consider giving a Christian Science nurses training course in Brazil in Portuguese.

This would be for Christian Scientists interested in becoming Christian Science nurses, who would stay to work in the Brazilian Christian Science field.

A brief History

LE VERGER: A Christian Science Nursing and Training Facility in the French speaking part of Switzerland. It is located in Rolle...

... a beautiful little village on the shores of Lake Geneva, situated between Lausanne and Geneva, with a view of the French Alps on the other side of the lake.

ARCO IRIS: A Christian Science non-profit organization founded about 30 years ago when a house, some land and later funds were donated for the purpose of building and running a Christian Science Sanatorium in Brazil.

Over the years, it became clear to the directors of Arco Iris that without trained Christian Science nurses one could not even envision starting a Christian Science Sanatorium in Brazil.

Arco Iris has over the years financed and sponsored several Christian Scientists to go to the USA for Christian Science nurses’ training. The result was that these Christian Science nurses stayed to work in the USA and did not return to help serve the Brazilian field.
This Christian Science Nurses’ Training Project
was initiated by the “Associação Arco Iris” in Brazil,
in partnership with “Le Verger” in Switzerland
